Q. Why we celebrate Diwali?

Es din pe Mahavir bhagawan ka nirvaan hua es liye Diwali ka din bhagwan Mahavir ka nirvan kalyanak hai. But according to Hindu manyata, they celerate Diwali due to Ramchanraji's arrival in Ayodhya.

Q. Are we happy on Diwali - Yes!! But kya hame kushi honi chahiye yaa dukh?

We lost our last thirthankar and now there won't be any divya dhvani for us. Ye bhagwan ke liye happy occasion hai but hamrare liye to bahut unfortunate din hai.. Ye hamare liye happy hai yadi hum jane hum diwali kyu manate hai and bhagwan mahavir ka sandesa jivan me utare but yadi hum laukik way se celebrate kare to ye hamare liye bahut dukh ka din hai.

Q. What abt dhan teras?

Hum lakshmi / dhan pujan karte hai but eska vidhan Jainism me nahi hai. It is actually dhanya teras because ek din pehle yog nirodh hua - it is the last divya dhwani, samvasharan vighatit ho gaya. Yog nirodh is 14th gunstanak ke pehle ki prakriya- 14th is ayogi gunsthanak. Yog nirodh can last for several days, one day or a few seconds depending on the karmas of the tirthankar.

Q. hum light and candle kyu jalate hai?

Dipak gyan ki jyoti ka symbol hai. Hume moh ke andhkar ko nash karke kevalgyan ki prapti karni hai - deepak will destroy darkness of moh and mithyatva. We should do mahavir swami’s and gautam swami’s puja - but not lakshmiji or ganpatiji’s puja. Yeh grahit mithyatva badhata hai.

Page 35- Avdhi gyan, Manah paryay gyan or Keval gyan ki pravrutti:

Avdhi gyan ki pravrutti rupi padarth mein spasht hoti hai. Avdhi means limit/maryada. The limit is dravya, kshetra, kaal bhaav. It is found in dev and naarki for everyone (bhav pratyay- Avdhi gyan kaa kshayopsham automatically happens in this bhav - no special effort required). In manushya and tiryanch it is not found in everyone. Sangni panchendriyas have the potential for Avdhi gyan. Samyaktva ki jarurat nahi hai for Avdhi gyan.


Q. Kya narki aapne purvabhav ko jante hai?

Narki ko bahut limited Avadhi gyan hota hai aur kshetra ki maryada ke karan wo nahi jaan sakte. But, khabhi unko jaati smaran gyan ho or dev unko remind kare to wo jaan sakte hey lekin apne Avadhi gyan se nahi.

Whatever we remember abt yesterday is due to mati gyan - even then it is very sthul and we do not remember any details. Esi liye ye Avdhi gyan nahi hai. Jaati smaran is a type of mati shrut gyan since it is not very clear or pratyaksh/spasht. Devs have the most avdhi gyan but unme bahut mithyatve hota hai - Wo vishay sukh me lin rehte hai hence unable to achieve samyaktva. It is similar for us also - we know everything here is temporary yet we are unable to attain virakti from vishay shukh.

Avdhi gyan ke three types - Deshavdhi, Parmavdhi and Sarvavdhi. Gun pratyay and bhav pratyay are the types of Deshavdhi. The other 2 are found only for manushya and that also only sanyami munis. Only deshavdhi can be found for all jeevs. Therefore Gun pratyay avdhi gyan can be found in all 3 types but Bhav pratyay avdhi gyan is found only in sayami muniraj.

Manah paryay gyan can be found only in 6th-12th gunsthanak only in sanyami muniraj. Also unko 64 riddhis me se koi ek riddhi honi chahiye and unka charitra uttam hona chahiye. So yeh gyan unko hi hota hai jo moksh ke right track (najadik) par hai.

All points covered very well. Couple corrections:

Correction: Dev don't have the most avadhi gyaan. Their avadhi gyaan is a lot, but not most. Most is found only in manushya (ie. sarvavadhi, paramavadhi)

Correction: bhav-pratyay avadhi gyaan is found in dev-naraki and some manushya (ie. teerthankar). Sanyami muni doesn't have Bhav-pratyay avadhi gyaan. They will only have gun-pratyay.
